Ready to Preach

Contributor Terms · contrib-terms-v1 · Effective August 22, 2026

What selling here means

These terms govern listing and selling material on Ready to Preach. You accept them with a checkbox when you submit a listing for review; we record which version you accepted and when.

Who can sell

A verified account with a connected payout. The default payee is the church, through Stripe Connect. A pastor can be the payee only with a stored license from the church — many churches treat staff sermons as work made for hire, so the church's permission is not a formality.

What you attest

Every submission carries this attestation, stored with your account and a timestamp: “I attest this is original work and I have the authority to sell it on behalf of the church named as payee.” If that stops being true for a listing, take it down.

The content standard

You also accept the content standard: “I will only list teaching written for a local church, that treats Scripture as the church’s authority and Jesus Christ as Lord. I will not list work that denies the gospel.

The license you grant

You keep ownership of your work. You grant Ready to Preach the right to host it, show it in the catalog, and sell it to buyers under the license shown at checkout — by default the standard license. Licenses already sold survive even if you later remove the listing; removal stops new sales, it does not claw back old ones.

Review

A person reviews every contributed listing before it is published. We can reject a listing with a note, and you can edit and resubmit. We can also unpublish a listing that draws a credible report while we look into it.

Payout terms

Your share is at least 70% of the gross buyer price. The platform's cut is at most 30% and absorbs the card processing fees — costs never eat into your 70%. Example: on a $40 sale, $28 goes to your payee account; Stripe's fee comes out of our side. Transfers go to your connected Stripe account on the weekly payout run.

Refunds and chargebacks reverse the original split: your payee account is debited your share of the refunded amount, and we eat the processor fees that do not reverse.

Takedowns

Anyone can report a listing, no account needed. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and decide within 5. If your listing is reported you will hear from us at complaints@readytopreach.com, and a listing that infringes someone else's rights comes down.

Leaving

You can unpublish your listings or close your account at any time. Earned payouts are still paid; sold licenses still stand; records the financial rules require are kept.

Changes

When these terms change, the version above changes, and your next listing submission asks you to accept the new version. Listings already published stay under the terms you accepted until you resubmit.

These terms sit under the Terms of Service and alongside the Privacy Policy.
