Terms of Service · terms-v1 · Effective August 22, 2026
The deal, in plain language
Ready to Preach is a marketplace where churches buy and sell teaching material another church already preached. It is a GRIT project. Using the site, creating an account, or paying for a listing means you accept these terms.
Your account
You need a verified email address to buy or sell. Keep your account to yourself — what happens on it is yours. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms or the law.
What you buy
A purchase buys a license, not ownership. The exact license is shown in full before every payment; the default is the standard license: preach or lead the material at one local church, adapt the voice and illustrations, and do not resell, redistribute the files, or publish them as your own product. Files stay in your library after purchase.
Payments
Prices are in USD. Card payments run on Stripe Checkout; we never see your card number. A gift purchase charges your card and delivers the files to the recipient's library — the recipient is never charged, and their email is used only to deliver the gift, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Problems with a purchase
If a listing is not what it claimed to be, report it or email complaints@readytopreach.com. A person reads every report and we make refunds right where the listing was at fault.
AI features
The studio's AI features produce drafts. You are responsible for what you preach and what you publish — review AI output the way you would review your own notes. AI requests go to OpenAI, optionally under an API key you supply; how we hold that key is in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not redistribute purchased files, list work you have no right to sell, misrepresent who you are, probe or overload the service, or use it to break the law. Licenses you bought survive your account; abuse does not.
Copyright and takedowns
If material on this site infringes your rights, report it at /takedown or email our designated agent at complaints@readytopreach.com. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and decide within 5. A listing under review can be unpublished while we look.
Selling on the platform
Contributors accept the Contributor Terms — the license they grant buyers, the content standard, the takedown process, and the payout terms — when they submit a listing. Those terms are part of this agreement for sellers.
What we promise, and what we do not
We run the service with care, and planned maintenance is posted 24 hours ahead — but the service is provided as-is, without warranty. Listings are written by the churches that sell them; we review before publishing but do not guarantee any listing's theology, accuracy, or fit. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
When these terms change, the version at the top changes with them, and material changes are announced before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. Questions: complaints@readytopreach.com.
