A Tree That Does Not Hurry: The Responsibility in the Room

The elder minutes still have last month's we-will-stay-planted sentence. We will occupy Yahweh's law when a named household is dry. Three chairs around this table already know which family asked for a slower week after a quiet Tuesday, and which chair still treats leftover indoor rootedness as the charge they already keep. One of those chairs called a we-already-handled-formation sentence oversight and then kept the meeting on time. Nobody spoke the next word the room already needed.

A man two chairs down signed the last vote that printed rooted on the packet. He also signed the first one that left a named dry household in a smaller office. He has not asked who still holds the room.

This is a sermon about the responsibility already in the room. If you preach Psalm 1 as a map of anyone's private drought, you will lie. If you preach it as a poster for a formation campaign that never occupies the law in air the quieter chairs can still hear, you will lie in a different direction. Preach it as wisdom about a life planted in Yahweh's instruction, and you give this church a God who feeds people beneath the surface.

You also take away the cheap leadership move that treats leftover indoor rootedness as the charge the chairs already keep.
