Stop Limping Between Two: The Responsibility in the Room

The elder minutes still have last month's Yahweh-is-God sentence. We will follow him when the stall has a name. Three chairs around this table already know which household named a second altar after the last vote, and which chair still treats the next named repair as staff work. One of those chairs called a we-can-keep-both sentence prudence and then kept the meeting on time. Nobody spoke the next word the room already needed.

A man two chairs down signed the last vote that printed the Name on the packet. He also signed the first one that left the named stall in a smaller office. He has not asked who still holds the room.

This is a sermon about the responsibility already in the room. If you preach 1 Kings 18 as a map of anyone's private indecision, you will lie. If you preach it as Elijah on Carmel, a real drought, real prophets of Baal, a repaired altar, and fire that falls on soaked wood, you give this church a God who will not share the Name. You also take away the cheap leadership move that treats a printed keep-both sentence as the charge the chairs already keep.
