When Fear Writes the Report: The Responsibility in the Room

The elder table still has last month's courage sentence in the minutes. We go. We are not afraid. Three chairs around this table already know which household named a hard week after the last vote, and which chair still treats the next named report as staff work. One of those chairs called a grasshopper sentence prudence and then kept the meeting on time. Nobody spoke the next word the camp already needed.

A man two chairs down signed the last vote that printed Caleb on the packet. He also signed the first one that left the named report in a smaller office. He has a sentence about courage. He has not asked who still holds the room.

This is a sermon about the responsibility already in the room. If you preach Numbers 13 as a map of anyone's private anxiety, you will lie. If you preach it as Israel at Kadesh, receiving a true report of real walls while forgetting the God who had already given the land, you give this church a living God whose character still belongs in the sentence after the walls are named, and a people who cannot treat a finished courage sentence as the charge they already keep.
