The Mountain of Provision: The Responsibility in the Room

The whiteboard still has last month's sentence in the corner. God will provide. Three names are circled for the costly assignment. One of those names is already walking. The other two sit in this room with a cleaner line about capacity. Nobody at the table staged a refusal. The week arrived like a calendar that learned how to keep the charge and still treat the mountain as someone else's work.

A woman two chairs down can tell you the same story from a different seat. She signed the last vote that sent the couple. She also signed the first one that kept the rest of the table in the valley. She has a sentence about stewardship. She has not asked who stays with the donkey, or whether this room will walk anything the people it leads could name.

This is a sermon about the responsibility already in the room. If you preach Genesis 22 as a map of anyone's inner surrender, you will lie. If you preach it as Yahweh testing Abraham in history and naming the mountain after provision, you give this church a God whose provision is discovered on the road of costly trust.
