A woman by the coffee urn has a different finished file. She told one friend the truth on Tuesday. The table still introduces both households as if the throw never happened. She is being asked to keep the peace by keeping the pit private.

This is a sermon about what Genesis 37 changes between you. If you preach it as a map of anyone's private wound, you will lie. If you preach it as Joseph's brothers throwing him into a real pit in history, you give this church a God whose unfinished work after betrayal has to change the table that is still eating.
