The Mountain of Provision: What This Changes Between Us

The potluck is still being packed into foil. She told two people in the hallway that they are trusting God about the job. She has not told the table. The table already knows something is wrong because they stopped hosting. A man across from the empty chairs says the same sentence she used: God will provide.

He says it the way you say a weather report. Nobody asks which mountain she is already walking. They fold the tablecloth and call the silence respect.

A second household is putting on coats. Their son heard the sentence. He will decide in the car whether this church is a people or a collection of private mountains.

This is a sermon about what a costly walk does between you. If you preach Genesis 22 as a map of anyone's inner surrender, you will lie. If you preach it as Yahweh testing Abraham in history and naming the mountain after provision, you give this church a God whose provision is discovered on the road of costly trust.
