Paul writes clothes a renewed people already have: compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, perseverance, bearing with one another, forgiveness as Christ forgave, love as the bond, the peace of God ruling in one body, ordinary word and deed in the name of the Lord Jesus with thanks. Those clothes have a street. Compassion, patience, forgiveness, love, and gratitude clothe a renewed community; neighbors meet the new life in what this people wears toward one another and toward those outside, not in a private interior they never see.
