What Evil Could Not Own: For the Week You Did Not Choose Preview · Opening of the manuscript The care hour still meets on Tuesday. The folder still has last month's verse in the margin. God meant it for good. The woman whose week was chosen for her sits in the second chair with a printed card this room already knows how to hand out. The man who wrote the harm sits two rows back. He signed the family story. He also learned the new grammar of this church: providence as a closed file, forgiveness as a slogan.

Nobody staged a refusal. The week arrived like a calendar that learned how to keep the verse and still treat the evil as a chapter you skip so the room can look redeemed.

A man in the far row came back after his own father died and the old fear woke up. He wanted the brothers named. The room thanked him. Then the room started talking about good, and how nobody needed to sit with the evil if the later sentence was already true. He needed a people who would tell the truth about human hands and still believe God was not owned by them.

This is a sermon for a church that already knows how to survive a wound and does not know how to sit with one. If you preach Genesis 50 as a policy that every harmed person must smile for the official version, you will lie. Joseph names the evil. God works a good the brothers did not intend. Preach it as that household after Jacob dies, and you take away the cheap care that starts with a finished meaning.
