This is a sermon for a church that already knows how to survive a wreck and does not know how to come back without dressing the return in leftover fire, or in a cave that never hears the question. If you preach 1 Kings 19 as a map of anyone's private burnout, you will lie. If you preach it as Elijah after Carmel, a real Jezebel, a real wilderness, a real cave, and a God who feeds a man who asked to die then sends him toward Damascus, you give this church a God who meets exhausted servants with care, truth, and work. You also take away the cheap road that hides behind a finished I-already-ate sentence.
