The Weight God Measures: The Responsibility in the Room

The minutes still have last month's we-will-keep-honest-weights sentence. Integrity sits on the packet, on the policy the chair signs, and on the last line of a visit that never occupied air this table had to keep together. Tuesday still sends a named household home with a quieter number the chairs are not allowed to sit with in the same week.

A man two chairs down already received the public version of this oversight. The public version can quote Proverbs 11. The public version still treats a named second weight as indoor furniture nobody at this table has to occupy.

This is a sermon about the charge Proverbs 11 already writes toward the people who still hold this room. If you preach it as a map of anyone's private panic, you will lie. If you preach it as a leadership poster that never lets a false balance occupy air the chairs can still hear, you will lie in a different direction. Preach it as wisdom for shepherds whose flock can already see the pan. You give this church a God who delights in accurate weights. You also take away the cheap leadership move that treats a quoted policy as enough while the household drinks a different measure.
